Butschern ist ein norddeutscher Begriff für das Draußenspielen und Herumstrolchen – genau dazu lädt das Projekt auf dem MFG5-Gelände ein. Es soll der Spieltrieb, ganz besonders der Kinder, ansprechen und einladen, das Gelände durch die Spuren, die wir verteilt haben, zu entdecken. Eigene Erfahrungen und Erinnerung zu schaffen, sich das Gelände anzueignen und eine emotionale Bindung zu dem Gelände aufzubauen. Die großen Flächen, die vielleicht als Erstes auffallen, aber auch die klitzekleinen Nischen und Ecken und die verschiedensten Biotope eignen sich hervorragend zum butschern. Genau diese Kombination aus Freiheit und räumlicher Vielfalt macht das Gelände so wertvoll. An vier Stationen sollen die Qualitäten des Ortes auf spielerische Art und Weise zu entdecken sein und erlebbar für alle Besucher*innen des Geländes werden.

Butschern is a North German term for playing outside and roaming around – and this is exactly what the project on the MFG5 site invites you to do. It is intended to appeal to the play instinct, especially of children, and invite them to discover the site through the traces we have left. To create their own experiences and memories, to make the site their own and to build up an emotional connection to the site. The large areas, which may be the first thing you notice, but also the tiny nooks and crannies and the various biotopes are perfect for butchering. It is precisely this combination of freedom and diversity of spatial qualities that makes the site so valuable. At four stations, the qualities of the site can be discovered in a playful way and experienced by all visitors to the site.
