Das Projekt fi*ktion lädt Besucher:innen dazu ein, die Wirkung von Pornografie auf unser Sexualbild zu hinterfragen. Grundlage ist eine analoge Installation, in der eine Collage aus 430 Szenen aus Mainstream-Pornos mithilfe von Licht und Farbkanälen gestört wird. Entfernte Farbkanäle erzeugen „analoge Glitches“, die als Metaphern für Wahrnehmungsverzerrung und Unsicherheiten in Bezug auf Sexualität stehen. fi*ktion macht sichtbar, wie stark Pornografie unser Bild von Intimität, Rollenbildern und Erwartungen prägt. Über eine interaktive Umfrage entscheiden Besucher:innen selbst, wie viele Schichten entfernt werden – je nach dem, wie realistisch oder absurd sie Pornografie empfinden. Themen wie Objektifizierung, stereotype Ethnienbilder oder unrealistische Erwartungen fließen dabei in die Reflexion ein. Das Projekt schafft einen Raum für kollektive Auseinandersetzung und regt zum Dialog über ein oft tabuisiertes, aber allgegenwärtiges Phänomen an.

The fi*ktion project invites visitors to question the effect of pornography on our sexual image. It is based on an analogue installation in which a collage of 430 scenes from mainstream pornography is disrupted with the help of light and color channels. Distant color channels create “analog glitches” that serve as metaphors for distorted perceptions and insecurities regarding sexuality. fi*ktion makes visible how strongly pornography shapes our image of intimacy, role models and expectations. Using an interactive survey, visitors decide for themselves how many layers are removed - depending on how realistic or absurd they perceive pornography to be. Topics such as objectification, stereotypical ethnic images and unrealistic expectations are included in the reflection. The project creates a space for collective debate and encourages dialogue about an often taboo but omnipresent phenomenon.
