Die Dächer Mono ist eine Monospace Schrift, welche inspiriert ist an Stadtformen. Vorlage für die Mono Schrift und das Stylistic Set sind prägnante Dachformen. So entsteht eine Schrift mit spannenden Stolpersteinen, die sich in den Schreibfluss des Lesens integrieren. Die Schrift umfasst 468 Zeichen mit 5 Schnitten von Light bis Brutal. Das Prozessbuch zum Projekt zeigt wie ich meine Umgebung fotografisch erkundet habe und wie diese Eindrücke mich für die Gestaltung der Schrift inspirierten. In ingesamt 4 Kapiteln begleitet ihr mich in meinem Wahrnehmungsprozess, der Entwicklung sowie der Umwandlung der klobigen Varianten in Beton durch meinen Schaffensprozess und versteht wie die Dächer Mono ihren Ursprung fand.

Dächer Mono is a monospaced typeface inspired by urban forms. The foundation for both the monospace structure and the stylistic set lies in distinctive rooftop shapes. The result is a typeface full of intriguing stumbling blocks that integrate into the flow of reading. The typeface includes 468 characters and comes in five weights, from Light to Brutal. The accompanying process book documents how I explored my surroundings through photography and how these impressions inspired the design of the typeface. Across four chapters, you’ll follow my journey of perception, development, and the transformation of bulky shapes into concrete forms through my creative process — revealing how Dächer Mono came to life.
