In Zusammenarbeit mit Alvar Bohrmann untersucht Port de Bras das Bühnenhafte sowie dessen spezifische Raum- und Körpersprachen. Der Titel der Installation verweist auf die klassische Hand- und Armhaltung im Ballett – ein codiertes Bewegungsmuster, das fließende Eleganz mit äußerster Disziplin, Kontrolle und technischer Präzision verbindet. Port de Bras legt die der Inszenierung innewohnende Dichotomie offen: Zwischen Pathos und Disziplin, zwischen affektiver Geste und stilisierter Körperbeherrschung entsteht ein Spannungsfeld, in dem Fragen nach Überzeichnung, den Grenzen des Bühnenraums und der Konstruktion von Emotionalität verhandelt werden.

The title of the installation refers to a classical ballet gesture – a codified movement that expresses flowing elegance while also standing for discipline, control, and technical precision. Port de Bras reveals the inherent dichotomy of performance: between pathos and formal discipline, between affective gesture and stylized body control. The work reflects on exaggeration, the boundaries of the stage, and the ways in which emotionality is constructed and performed.
