Das Betreten eines vermeintlich leeren Raums steht im Kontrast zu den Erwartungen, die an den Titel INFLATION gestellt werden. An jeder der vier weißen Wände befindet sich je ein Gipsabguss eines Luftballonknotens. Die Materialität und Farbigkeit der Objekte ähneln der Wandoberfläche, sodass die Grenzen zwischen Kunstwerk und Ausstellungsort verschwimmen. Aus kleinen Objekten wird eine Rauminstallation. Die Blase lässt Luft und Raum für eigene Imaginationen und Träumereien, aber auch für die Reflexion von Projektionen und Erwartungen an Kunst. Was entscheidet über die Größe (die Sichtbarkeit und den Wert) eines Kunstwerks? Ist die Kunstwelt aufgeblasen? Wenn ja, wer bläst sie auf? Und was ist der Knoten, der alles zusammenhält?

Entering a supposedly empty room stands in contrast to the expectations placed on the title INFLATION. On each of the four white walls is a plaster cast of a balloon knot. The materiality and color of the objects resemble the wall surface, blurring the boundaries between artwork and exhibition space. Small objects become a spatial installation. The bubble leaves air and space for one's own imaginations and reveries, but also for the reflection of projections and expectations of art. What determines the size (visibility and value) of a work of art? Is the art world inflated? If so, who inflates it? And what is the knot that holds everything together?
